Daily Schmankerl: Liverpool eyeing Bayern Munich's Kim Min-jae; Inter Milan out on Neymar; Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes in this Bayern group; Vinicius Junior open to leaving Real Madrid; and MORE!
"Liverpool are reportedly in a fierce competition with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur over a deal to sign Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes. Fichajes report that following Kim's impressive spell at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, he has a very good reputation in Serie A. So, the Italian clubs are interested in signing him. However, Liverpool have also expressed their interest in purchasing him and have been monitoring his situation closely before making a potential swoop."
"The defender still has a contract until 2028 with Bayern Munich, so they are in a strong position to demand a large fee to let him leave and want around £43m. It is still very uncertain if Kim will leave Bayern Munich. Part of the reason for that is because there is also uncertainty surrounding the future of Dayot Upamecano. Finally healthy after a season dealing with Achilles tendonitis, Kim has looked good for the most part this season."
Liverpool have joined Chelsea and Tottenham in pursuing Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Min-jae, with Italian clubs also showing interest after his strong performances at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Bayern are unlikely to sanction a January exit and expect a summer transfer, with the club seeking around £43m given Kim's contract through 2028. Uncertainty over Dayot Upamecano's future complicates Kim's status. Kim returned to full health after an Achilles tendonitis layoff and has performed well this season, increasing transfer interest. Heung-min Son is not in loan talks with Serie A clubs and remains focused on LA Galaxy.
