Bayern Munich defender Jonathan Tah on Leroy Sane's Germany omission
Briefly

Leroy Sané, 29, is notably omitted from Germany's men's national team call-ups as World Cup qualifying resumes. He has moved to Galatasaray and has recorded one goal and one assist in four Süper Lig appearances. Despite his current club form, he remains outside the national selection. Former teammates have signalled openness to his return, with Bayern centre-back Jonathan Tah emphasising Sané's long service, positive influence and personal friendship while acknowledging the coach's final say. Germany have opened camp ahead of matches against Slovakia and Northern Ireland, providing an opportunity to assess the team without Sané.
Former Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané is a high-profile omission from Germany's men's national team call-ups this month as World Cup Qualifying resumes. Now at Galatasaray, the 29-year-old has one goal and one assist in four Süper Lig games but has been left on the outside looking in. But his former teammates would not mind seeing him return, and perhaps expect it to happen sooner rather than later.
"In the end the coach [Julian Nagelsmann] decides. Leroy has been with the national team for a long time and brings a lot," Bayern center-back Jonathan Tah said in comments this week captured by @iMiaSanMia. "He's also a good friend of mine so I'd be happy when he's here again. But in the end it's the coach's decision."
The Germans have kicked off camp in preparation for this week's matches - Thursday at Slovakia and Sunday vs. Northern Ireland. It will be a chance for Nagelsmann, and everyone, to see just how much the national team misses the likes of Sané.
