Copa warm-up rules changed after Marta criticism
Briefly

CONMEBOL announced changes to pre-match procedures at the Copa América Femenina in Ecuador to allow outfield players to warm up on the pitch. Previously, only goalkeepers had the opportunity for a 15-minute warm-up. This adjustment was made after feedback from Brazilian players and an assessment of the stadium conditions. Players, including captain Marta, expressed frustration over prior restrictions that limited warm-up space, impacting their performance. Brazil, the defending champions, currently lead Group B ahead of their next match against Paraguay.
From now on, in addition to goalkeepers who already had a 15-minute warm-up period on the field, outfield players will also be allowed to warm up on the pitch for the same duration.

Tournament organisers had barred outfield players from warming up on the pitch to preserve the playing surface.
