Morocco advanced to the semi-finals of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-1 victory against Mali. Ibtissam Jraidi scored two goals, the first from a right-wing pass by Sakina Ouzraoui in the seventh minute, and the second from a penalty in the 79th minute. Kenza Chapelle added a third goal shortly before the end of regular time. Aissata Traore scored a late penalty for Mali, but they never posed a significant threat to Morocco, who will face either Algeria or Ghana next.
Striker Ibtissam Jraidi opened the scoring in the seventh minute by tapping home a right-wing pass from Sakina Ouzraoui, securing a comfortable victory.
Jraidi converted a penalty in the 79th minute after Sanaa Mssoudy was fouled, solidifying Morocco's 3-1 lead in the semi-final match.
Morocco's third goal came from Kenza Chapelle with a minute remaining, following a mishandled shot by Mali goalkeeper Fatoumata Karentao.
Aissata Traore scored a consolation goal for Mali from the spot, but the team never looked likely to threaten Morocco's dominance.
