Iliman Ndiaye finished Jack Grealish's left-sided cross to score Everton's first Premier League goal at the Hill Dickinson in the 23rd minute. Grealish was set free by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, drove at Max Wieffer, found space and delivered a left-footed cross for Ndiaye to convert. The goal doubled as Everton's first of the season after a defeat at Leeds, putting them 1-0 up against Brighton. Brighton had early threats with Koaru Mitoma hitting the crossbar and Danny Welbeck missing from close range, and Jan Paul van Hecke later struck the woodwork. Fans marked Everton's move from Goodison Park to the new stadium.

Not only was it the first goal at their new home, it was also their first goal of the season after a 1-0 defeat at Leeds on Monday as they got their season up and running in style.
