Internacional coach sorry for anti-gay slur over pink shirts
"Fans of Internacional, first of all, I acknowledge that I didn't make a good statement about the color pink during my press conference. Before this spreads, I apologise. Colors don't define genders. What defines is character. Internacional needs peace and a lot of hard work. Come on, Inter!"
"pink vests the team trains in."
Abel Braga apologised after making an anti-gay comment about Internacional's pink training vests during his unveiling as head coach. Braga, 73, returned to guide Internacional for an eighth spell and signed a contract until the end of the 2025 Brazilian championship without remuneration, a condition he requested. He posted an apology on Instagram saying colours do not define genders and calling for peace and hard work. Internacional sit in the relegation zone, level on points with Santos, with two games remaining. The Porto Alegre club has been relegated only once in its 116-year history.
