Isak: No contact with Howe since Newcastle exit
"It's nothing I want to dwell on now,"
"It doesn't benefit anyone, neither me nor Newcastle so let it be."
"I'm working hard to push myself and play my game,"
"I've been really happy so far. A city where the team has a very good relationship with the fans which is important. It's been nice so far."
Alexander Isak completed a British-record move to Liverpool after spending much of the summer on strike at Newcastle to force a transfer. He says he has not spoken to former coach Eddie Howe since the exit and does not want to dwell on the situation, saying it benefits neither him nor Newcastle. Isak has one goal and one assist in six Liverpool appearances while his minutes are being managed as he builds fitness. He reports being happy in the city, values the club-fan relationship, is working to play his game, and is ready for 90 minutes for Sweden.
