Briefly

Diogo Jota, 28, and his brother André Silva, 25, tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Spain. Their funerals took place in Gondomar, Portugal, attended by family, friends, and numerous football teammates. Liverpool's captain Virgil Van Dijk carried a floral tribute shaped like Jota's jersey. The emotional service was led by Bishop Manuel Linda, who spoke to the family about love's enduring power over death. Many players from Portugal's national team participated in the funeral, paying their respects and supporting the grieving family.
Hundreds of residents of Gondomar, a small town in northern Portugal where Jota grew up, gathered outside for the private funeral service for Diogo Jota and his brother.
In an emotional homily, Bishop Manuel Linda stated, 'solidarity in love is always stronger than death,' addressing Jota’s grieving family during the service.
