Nigeria views the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as an opportunity to win the continental trophy and fulfil long-held ambitions. The squad lost the 2023 final to Ivory Coast and then missed the 2026 World Cup after a play-off defeat to DR Congo on penalties. The team aims to put regrets behind them and intensify preparations to return to the final in Morocco. Group C opponents include Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda, with the campaign starting in Fes.
