Haley Carter is stepping down as Orlando Pride vice president of soccer operations and sporting director to pursue other career opportunities. Carter served three seasons with the club and will aid the transition. The Pride won the NWSL Shield and the league championship in 2024 and reached the playoff semifinals this year before falling to Gotham FC. The team acquired players including Barbra Banda and Lizbeth Ovalle during Carter's tenure. Owner Mark Wilf credited Carter with positioning the Pride among the NWSL's and world's elite clubs and said the club has begun a diligent, methodical search for a new soccer leader. Wilf emphasized confidence in the roster, coaching staff, and positive club culture to continue the club's trajectory of success.
