Rangers appoint Rohl as Martins successor - Soccer News
""I know it has been a difficult start to the season, but there is still so much to play for. The expectations here are clear. The fans want to see results now - my mentality and experience is to think in exactly the same way. We have no time to waste; we start straight away. I respect that trust is earned and understand we have to give the supporters confidence in what we are doing by showing it on the pitch from the start.""
""It is a huge privilege at an incredible club, recognised around the world," said Rohl."
""Welcome to Rangers, Danny Röhl. - Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) October 20, 2025""
Danny Rohl has been appointed Rangers head coach on a two-and-a-half-year contract, replacing Russell Martin, who was sacked after a 123-day spell. Martin oversaw just one Scottish Premiership victory and saw the side eliminated from the Champions League by Club Brugge, 9-1 on aggregate in a qualifying play-off. The club completed a two-week search in which Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscat reportedly declined the role. Rohl previously managed Sheffield Wednesday from October 2023 to June 2025, with 81 matches, 30 wins, 18 draws and 33 losses, averaging 1.3 points per game. Rangers sit sixth after eight Premiership games, 13 points behind Hearts, and Rohl's first match will be away to Brann in the Europa League.
