Report: 1860 Munich fans allegedly vandalize Bayern Munich's training grounds
"Traffic signs, electrical boxes, fences and public benches were covered with stickers, defaced with lettering or sprayed in the white and blue club colors of the Munich Lions. In the public park on the hill behind the training grounds of super striker Harry Kane (32) and Co., for example, the following was sprayed on a wall: "1860! In Munich-Giasing we are at home. The city is blue. It will always be so.""
"Background: The club headquarters of the two Munich rivals are both located in the Giesing district (pronounced in the Munich dialect: Giasing) - only about 700 meters apart! It's less than a ten-minute walk from one training ground to the other. 1860 Munich's ground is on Grünwalder Straße, while Bayern Munich's is on a parallel street further down the legendary Säbener Straße."
"The third division team plays its games in the Grünwalder Stadium, as does Bayern II in the Regionalliga Bayern. However, the 1860 ultras in particular see Giesing exclusively as their white-blue territory and repeatedly mark it with stickers and graffiti - as was the case with the current attack!"
Stickers, lettering and spray paint in white-and-blue covered traffic signs, electrical boxes, fences and benches across Giesing. A wall behind the training grounds near Harry Kane's team bore the slogan “1860! In Munich-Giasing we are at home. The city is blue. It will always be so.” The two clubs' headquarters sit about 700 meters apart, with less than a ten-minute walk between their training grounds. 1860 Munich's ground is on Grünwalder Straße and Bayern's on a parallel street along Säbener Straße. 1860 ultras repeatedly mark Giesing as white-blue territory with stickers and graffiti.
