"From playing in the academy and being in the stands watching Arsenal win the Champions League in 2007, to living it with our players, staff and supporters last summer, I'm immensely proud to have shared this journey with Arsenal, a club that means so much to me and to so many people."
"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract here, as I believe we have so much to achieve together - this season and in the years to come. I'd like to show my gratitude to our supporters for the incredible backing you give us, whether it's at Emirates Stadium, Meadow Park or on the road. We hear it, we see it, and we feel it every day."
"Slegers, who originally joined the club as an assistant coach in 2023, has taken charge of 51 games across all competitions, winning 36 of those (D5 L10), and boasts a 70.6% win rate. In that time, Arsenal have scored 130 goals and conceded 50."
Renée Slegers has extended her Arsenal head coach contract by three years, keeping her at the club until 2029. She moved from interim to permanent head coach after taking charge following Jonas Eidevall's October 2024 dismissal and initially signing an 18-month deal. Four months after becoming head coach, she led Arsenal to Champions League victory over Barcelona, the club's first in 18 years. Slegers joined Arsenal as an assistant coach in 2023 and has overseen 51 matches, winning 36 and achieving a 70.6% win rate while the team scored 130 goals and conceded 50.
