Luis Suarez received a one-match suspension and an undisclosed fine after the MLS Disciplinary Committee found he performed a careless, off-the-ball kick on Nashville defender Andy Najar in the 71st minute of Game 2 at Geodis Park on November 1. Referee Allen Chapman did not book Suarez during the match, but MLS regulations allow the committee to apply post-match discipline. Suarez will serve the suspension on November 8, missing Inter Miami's decisive third playoff match at Chase Stadium. The suspension is Suarez's second MLS ban this year following a three-match ban for spitting in the Leagues Cup final in August. Miami will compete without him for a chance to face Columbus Crew or FC Cincinnati.
"The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Inter Miami CF forward Luis Suarez for one match and fined Suarez an undisclosed amount under Disciplinary Committee Parameter 3 for violent conduct in the 71st minute of Inter Miami's match against Nashville SC on November 1st,"
