"If the game had been 2-0 at that point I would have put him on, but it's 1-0, I've got to get a forward on,"
"We're not a charity case, as much as I wanted Tyler to get on with his dad. One of their [Everton's] players had a bit of a pop at me, which is bang out of order. I've got to do what is best for our team and at that point, 1-0, I'm trying to get a result."
Ashley Young, aged 40, signed for Ipswich Town on a free transfer after leaving Everton and has appeared in all four Championship fixtures so far. His career spans two decades, including 39 England caps and spells at Watford, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Everton. Tyler Young completed a permanent move to Ipswich's development squad after a successful pre-season trial and an August agreement. Tyler previously progressed through the academies at Arsenal, MK Dons and QPR and played for Peterborough last season. The pair narrowly missed meeting competitively when Everton were drawn against Peterborough in the FA Cup.
