West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace: Pressure increases on Potter after another home defeat
Briefly

"There was little in the way of goalmouth action for much of the first half, though the visitors did begin to find their rhythm towards the end, with the lively Yeremy Pino looking to create. He was involved in the first goal, as his shot was deflected away for a corner, which led to Jean-Philippe Mateta breaking the deadlock with a header in the 37th minute, with the home side failing to defend the set piece properly."
"After this win at the London Stadium, Glasner's men are now unbeaten in 17 matches in all competitions, which is their joint-second longest run without defeat in their entire history. Mateta has been a great servant for the club since his move from Mainz, initially on loan in January 2021, and his effort against the Hammers was his 50th goal in all competitions for Palace."
Crystal Palace beat West Ham 2-1 at the London Stadium thanks to a Tyrick Mitchell volley. Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring with a 37th-minute header after a Yeremy Pino shot was deflected for a corner. Just after half-time Maxence Lacroix hit the crossbar for West Ham before Jarrod Bowen levelled with an unmarked header two minutes later. Mitchell restored Palace's lead with a weaker-foot volley from an Adam Wharton cross. Palace moved fourth with nine points and extended an unbeaten run to 17 matches. West Ham remained 18th with three points. Mateta reached 50 goals for Palace.
