When is Deadline Day? Everything you need to know ahead of football's transfer window closing
Briefly

Premier League transfer activity must conclude by 7pm UK time on September 1 (4am AEST Tuesday), four hours earlier than usual to ease club staff. English clubs receive a two-hour grace period after the deadline to finalise domestic deals if paperwork is lodged before the cut-off. Transfers involving players from other countries typically have a longer grace period, often until midnight UK time (9am AEST). La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 share the same closing time, requiring paperwork by 4am AEST. The Saudi Pro League window remains open until September 10. Remaining moves wait until the January window.
The window will close four hours earlier than normal, at 7pm on September 1 UK time, to make things easier on club staff.
Clubs are afforded a two-hour grace period after the deadline to complete deals with fellow English clubs, as long as paperwork is lodged before the cut-off time.
The transfer window for Europe's other top leagues - La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 - closes at the same time as the Premier League, meaning paperwork must be submitted by 4am AEST on Tuesday.
Players making a move to Saudi Arabia have more time to finalise their moves, however, with the Saudi Pro League's transfer window closing on Wednesday 10 September.
