Winger O'Neill extends Orient deal to 2028
"He has been a great addition to the squad since joining. His application and determination drive his own performances, as well as those around him, and he is a vital player in our system,"
"one of the best wingers in the league"
"I really admire the club's mindset and ambitions, and it's great that they align with my personal goals. Last season's campaign was just a taste of what this club can achieve, and I believe we can really push towards the top end of the division again this season. I have ambitions to play at the highest level I can and I have signed this new contract because I believe I can achieve that here."
Ollie O'Neill has signed a contract to remain with Leyton Orient until the summer of 2028. The 22-year-old has played 67 games for Orient since joining from Fulham in January 2024, including 15 appearances this campaign. He is one of only four players from the team that started last season's play-off final defeat to Charlton who remain at the club in League One this season. He has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists for Orient and has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-21 level. The club's mindset and ambitions align with his personal goals and he aims to push toward the top end of the division while developing to play at the highest level.
