Ryan Reynolds paid tribute to Ollie Palmer as he departed Wrexham after three-and-a-half years, calling the exit a "gut punch" and praising Palmer's goals and work ethic for helping the club reach the Championship. Palmer leaves by mutual consent with 46 goals in 156 appearances, having helped Wrexham achieve three consecutive promotions from the National League to the second tier. Manager Phil Parkinson said the move gives Palmer a chance to play regularly and move closer to family. Squad turnover continued with Paul Mullin loaned to Wigan and Jack Marriott joining Reading. Palmer signed a two-year contract with Swindon and expressed excitement to push for promotion.
