During this period O'Connor played for Southampton and Gillingham and of the 16 bets, five were placed on competitions involving his own club. The 26-year-old admitted the charges and an independent regulatory commission imposed a 4,200 fine and issued a warning following a hearing."

O'Connor joined Wrexham from Burton Albion in January 2022 when the Welsh side were still in the National League but has spent this season on loan at Peterborough United in League One."
