POWER.md defines the entry-point steering file that tells an agent what MCP tools are available and when to use them. MCP server configuration specifies the tools and connection details for the MCP server. Additional hooks or steering files enable agents to run on IDE events or via slash commands. Kiro powers are discoverable and installable through the IDE or the kiro.dev website, and support curated partners, community-built powers, and private team tools. Kiro powers offer MCP compatibility, dynamic loading, and packaged expertise in a unified system.
