Goodbye JourneyInbox - Building SaaS #218 Matt Layman
Briefly

In a recent stream, the host announced the discontinuation of JourneyInbox as a SaaS offering, citing insufficient market interest as the primary reason for this decision. Instead, the focus will shift to adapting the project to meet personal needs, allowing for greater flexibility and efficiency. During the stream, a retrospective of the project was conducted, leading to plans to refactor the core logic using Golang, which will facilitate smoother operations on a personal server.
In this episode, I declared to the stream that I'm done working on JourneyInbox as a SaaS product. I didn't see any meaningful market adoption, so I decided to pivot the project to serve only my personal needs.
I used the stream to do a retrospective on the project and then convert the core logic to use Go to simplify when I need to run on my server.
