Dennis Green-Leiber, founder of AI company Propane and based in Denmark, has been building in the Nordic ecosystem for 15 years. The region benefits from social safety nets that enable entrepreneurial risk-taking, active government funding for startups, and significant venture investment—Nordic startups secured just over $8 billion in 2024 and the ecosystem is valued at about half a trillion dollars. The ecosystem is accelerating into deep tech and AI, while investment risk persists.
