AWS identified the underlying problem and implemented a fix that is beginning to take hold, with the company reporting significant signs of recovery. Most requests should now be succeeding while teams work through a backlog of queued requests. The outage concentrated on AWS US services and clients and disrupted some services in the EU, including Autodesk services used in Irish industry, although some Irish government and public sector services reportedly remained unaffected. AWS reported increased error rates and latencies and said teams were pursuing multiple parallel paths to accelerate recovery. Numerous consumer apps and platforms reported interruptions and attributed problems to AWS.
