A third companion, Valentine, resembles Musk's past costume as the Marquis de Sade. Valentine is inspired by characters Edward Cullen from "Twilight" and Christian Grey from "Fifty Shades of Grey." This approach is deemed out-of-touch, as it attempts to characterize contemporary female interests using outdated references from over a decade ago.
The companions were clearly designed to spark controversy, with Ani happily undressing herself to xAI's likely male-dominated audience of Elon bros.
Musk is seemingly trying to revive his costume party alter ego to serve as the inspiration for xAI's third companion, in only the way a 54-year-old manchild could.
His personality is inspired by Edward Cullen from Twilight and Christian Grey from 50 Shades.
Needless to say, invoking Edward Cullen, the lead character from "Twilight," and "Fifty Shades of Grey" is a hysterically out-of-touch attempt to characterize what women are into in 2025.
