Melanie Black joined FOX Weather as an on-air host based in New York City, beginning her new role Thursday. FOX Weather operates as a free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service. Black had served as a weekend morning meteorologist at 7News in Boston for three years. Her prior experience includes work at NBC affiliates in Sacramento, California, and Tucson, Arizona, and a station in Joplin, Missouri. She holds a degree from the University of Arizona and a meteorology certification from Mississippi State. 7News's remaining weather team includes Jeremy Reiner, Chris Lambert, Josh Wurster, and Kelly Costa.
