Peaky Blinders Returning for Two More Seasons
""I'm thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story," he said in a statement. "Once again it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz. The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride.""
""After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel," the official logline reads. "In a new era of Steven Knight's Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham's massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.""
Peaky Blinders will return to BBC and Netflix for two new six-episode seasons set after the upcoming film. The seventh season is set in 1953 Britain and centers on Birmingham's post-WWII reconstruction, framing the race to control the city's massive rebuilding project as a brutal contest with the Shelby family at its heart. Cillian Murphy serves as an executive producer on the new seasons and may appear as a father figure to younger gang members rather than leading the cast. Filming was reported to start in Summer 2025 with a possible 2026 release, while the film The Immortal Man targets early 2026.
