The Simpsons will celebrate its 800th episode during season 37. The creative team confirmed high-profile guest stars including Michael Keaton, Viola Davis, Barry Sonnenfeld, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Idris Elba voicing a devil or demon. Albert Brooks returns to voice another character after earlier roles like Hank Scorpio, Jacques, and Tab Spangler. Creators and writers Matt Groening, Matt Selman, Michael Price, and director David Silverman spoke about the milestone and guest excitement. A mystery guest with initials "AG" declined. Time magazine ran a special cover, and the series received another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program.
