Disneyland hosted World Princess Week culminating in a royal concert that featured original Disney princess voice actors and celebrated the franchise's 70th Anniversary. Voice talents emphasized representation, personal resonance, and evolving definitions of princesshood, with Auli'i Cravalho urging guests to find the princess who resonates and Anika Noni Rose noting Tiana's role in changing what being a princess means. Events included princess meet-and-greets, new merchandise, and a surprise "Royal Ride Along" through The Little Mermaid attraction featuring Jodi Benson. The concert is available to stream on Disney+.
I am so grateful that Disney continues to allow us to see ourselves through these Disney princesses," said Auli'i Cravalho, the voice of Moana. "And so, I hope you find the princess that resonates the most with you.
Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Tiana, added, "I think we have changed what being a princess means. I think, specifically, Tiana has changed what being a princess means. Seeing how many different backgrounds we come from and how many different people we speak to is truly a blessing.
"It is so very important for me to be here for the 70th Anniversary of Disneyland, but even more so because it is our World Princess Week," Benson explained. "Every person can relate to what types of qualities you love about our Disney princesses.
