MLB Network host continues amazing streak with George Springer prediction
"It probably won't go down in infamy like Babe Ruth's 'called shot' during the 1932 World Series, but what Greg Armsinger did on Tuesday evening certainly gives you pause to think the guy might be an actual psychic. The MLB Network host told his co-hosts Harold Reynolds and Dan Pleasac that George Springer would lead off the game by hitting a home run against Cincinnati Reds starter Scott Barlow. Sure enough just a few pitches into the ball game, Springer went yard."
"During their 2015 American League Division Series against the Rangers, Armsinger predicted that Game 2 would go 14 innings, which it did. In 2014, Armsinger predicted a Buster Posey walk-off home run against the Colorado Rockies during a game in August. During that years All-Star Game, Armsinger put Mike Trout on the spot by asking him to hit a triple and cash in Derek Jeter, who was playing in his final All-Star game."
Greg Armsinger predicted George Springer would lead off the game with a home run against Cincinnati Reds starter Scott Barlow, and Springer homered within a few pitches. The hit set a new Blue Jays record for leadoff home runs. Armsinger has a history of accurate predictions, including forecasting a 14-inning Game 2 in the 2015 American League Division Series. He predicted a Buster Posey walk-off in August 2014 and urged Mike Trout to hit a triple to cash in Derek Jeter in that year's All-Star Game, which Trout did. In April 2022 he predicted Albert Pujols would reach 700 homers in September on a Friday at Dodger Stadium, and Pujols hit number 700 on September 23.
