Sandfort has appeared in 21 games this season with the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's G-League affiliate, averaging 11.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists as a rookie. During his senior year at Iowa, Sandfort averaged 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. The move came alongside the waiver of guard Buddy Boeheim, who had been signed to a two-way contract on February 6.
