Briefly

As the Toronto Tempo marks one year until its debut, team president Teresa Resch expresses hopes of attracting large fan bases across Canada. Celebratory events at STACKT Market include basketball activities and discussions about the cultural intersections of basketball with food, fashion, and art. As the team grows from 19 to 50 staff members pre-launch, players will be brought in via various drafts. Resch emphasizes a commitment to winning championships and establishing women's basketball as a strong commercial entity.
"We have the opportunity to create something really unique and really special for the first team outside of the U.S.," said Teresa Resch.
"Our mission is to win championships and prove that women's basketball is an incredible business," Resch said. "I think we're well on our way."
