American Airlines Is Launching Direct Flights to One of the Bahamas' Smallest Islands-and It's Got Crystal Waters

"Visiting one of the smallest islands in the Bahamas is about to get easier. American Airlines will launch new flights to the island of Bimini next year, connecting the charming destination just 50 miles off the eastern coast of Florida with Miami, according to the carrier. The new flights will take off on Feb. 14, 2026, and operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays on an Embraer 175 aircraft."

"Known for its white sand beaches, clear water, and outdoor activities, Bimini is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts as well as leisure travelers. It is comprised of two islands: North Bimini and South Bimini, and boasts the chance to swim with wild dolphins, explore the mysterious underwater rock formation known as Bimini Road, and even dive with sharks."

"The flights are scheduled to depart Miami at 10:05 a.m. and arrive in Bimini an hour later at 11:05 a.m. Return flights are scheduled to leave Bimini at 11:50 a.m. and arrive back in Miami at 12:50 p.m. Small, but mighty, there are plenty of amazing places to stay on the island like the all-inclusive Resorts World Bimini, a 750-acre beachfront resort featuring 305 rooms, two pools, 10 restaurants, cafes, and bars"

American Airlines will introduce three weekly Miami–Bimini flights beginning Feb. 14, 2026, operated on an Embraer 175 under the American Eagle brand. Flights will depart Miami mid-morning and return shortly after noon, enabling quick round trips and day visits. Cabin configuration includes premium and main class seating with onboard Wi‑Fi, and one-way fares in February start at about $269. Bimini features white sand beaches, clear water, fishing opportunities, wild dolphin swims, the Bimini Road rock formation, and shark diving. Resorts World Bimini offers a large all‑inclusive beachfront option with 305 rooms, pools, and numerous dining venues.
