One of the World's Most Luxurious Overnight Trains Just Announced a New Route to Italy's Amalfi Coast

"The new route debuts on May 4, 2026, departing from Paris for an overnight trip to Pompeii, Italy. From there, travelers will have the opportunity to explore the historic site, before taking a special boat ride to the Positano-based Caruso hotel. Both the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Caruso are members of the Belmond brand, which is owned by LVMH. The new Paris-to-Amalfi Coast route is now open for reservations and costs £8,600 (approximately $11,479) per person, which includes all meals, transfers, and excursions."
