Originally from Zimbabwe, Pfereka supported her siblings after her parents' deaths and delayed her educational dreams. Her journey took a turn when she applied for a position on cruise ships, leading her to join Azamara as an assistant waitress, and later get promoted to payroll purser. "The more people I saw from different places, the more I wished that maybe one day I could travel," says Presley Pfereka, reflecting on her childhood aspirations.
"I had to pay school fees for all of my siblings. I had a passion for learning and was devastated that I couldn't continue my education, but I didn't want to deprive my siblings."
