"Shaine March was out of prison on licence when he stabbed 32-year-old Alana Odysseos 19 times at her home in Walthamstow, east London. Ms Odysseos had just discovered she was expecting a child with March, a violent and controlling boyfriend who family and friends had urged her to leave. But they were still together on the night of the attack, when Ms Odysseos was overheard refusing March's request to have an abortion."
"It can now be revealed that March was jailed for life at the age of 21 after fatally stabbing a man in the neck at a McDonald's restaurant in January 2000. He was convicted of Andre Dummond's murder at the Old Bailey on July 17 2000. March secured his release on licence in early 2013, he was recalled to jail later that year after an assault on another partner in July, and was released again in February 2018."
Shaine March pleaded guilty to stabbing 32-year-old Alana Odysseos to death after she refused his request to have an abortion. Ms Odysseos was stabbed 19 times at her home in Walthamstow while the couple remained together despite friends urging her to leave. March had a prior life sentence for the 2000 murder of Andre Dummond and had been released on licence in 2013, recalled after an assault, and released again in 2018. The guilty plea followed a defense expert withdrawing support for diminished responsibility. Friends and family described March as violent, controlling and abusive.
