An email dated July 21 2010 saw an exchange between the convicted sex offender and Mr Mountbatten-Windsor's close aide David Stern. It read: "I assume he knows that this is Charles doing." His words came in response to a message from the former Duke, which read: "Lots of tv coverage on PA and always big feature on you. Insane.""
"The former prince was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations he shared sensitive information with the late paedophile financier during his time as trade envoy. He spent around 11 hours in custody as searches were conducted at his home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and at his former home, Royal Lodge in Windsor, Berkshire."
Prince Andrew, the former Duke of York, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations that he shared sensitive information with deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein while serving as the UK's trade envoy. Andrew spent approximately 11 hours in custody while authorities conducted searches at his residences on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and at Royal Lodge in Windsor, Berkshire. Recently released Epstein files contain an email from July 21, 2010, in which Epstein blamed King Charles in response to Andrew's message about media coverage. The arrest occurred on the same day Andrew stepped down from his trade envoy position.
