"He is further accused of raping a woman he met through a dating app more than 20 years later, between December 2014 and April 2015. Jurors were told they were both in bed when Carrick told her he wanted to try sex, to which she reluctantly agreed. She then told him she wanted to stop three times. However, when she managed to move away, he became angry and pinned her down."
David Carrick denies sexually abusing a 12-year-old on five occasions and denies raping a woman accused of being subjected to coercive and controlling behaviour. Carrick previously admitted numerous offences and was convicted in 2022 and 2023 of multiple sexual crimes, resulting in 71 convictions for sexual violence against 12 women. One alleged victim says abuse began when she was in Year 7 and lasted 18 months until she told her mother at 14. A letter from Carrick apologised and asked that the matter not be spoken about. Another alleged victim met Carrick via a dating app and says he pinned her down after she asked him to stop.
