"A man has been found guilty of beating another man to death in north London before leaving his body to decompose in a bath for 10 days. The body of 40-year-old Marvin Dickson was discovered at the Haringey home of his killer, 36-year-old Dante Forrest, on September 20 last year. When officers arrived at the property on Moselle Avenue, they found it boarded up, padlocked, and in complete darkness."
"Detectives from the Met secured Forrest's conviction through DNA analysis and an extensive review of CCTV footage linking him to the scene. On Thursday, September 19, the day before officers were called to the flat, CCTV captured Forrest wearing distinctive purple, blue, and white trainers the same ones Marvin was last seen wearing in the CCTV footage. The trainers were never recovered."
Marvin Dickson, 40, was beaten to death and his body left to decompose in a bath for ten days at a Moselle Avenue flat in Haringey. Dante Forrest, 36, was found guilty of the murder after a trial at the Old Bailey. Officers discovered the boarded and padlocked property on September 20. CCTV showed Dickson with Forrest on September 10 and later captured Forrest wearing distinctive trainers matching those Dickson had worn. A post-mortem recorded multiple head and facial fractures and stab wounds. DNA analysis and CCTV review linked Forrest to the scene. Forrest was arrested on September 25 and will be sentenced on November 18.
