Federal agents are probing his activities, sparked by his mistaken deportation from Maryland. During a 2022 traffic stop, Garcia had eight passengers but no luggage in a car owned by Hernandez-Reyes. The investigation reveals ongoing issues of human trafficking linked to gang operations, with Hernandez-Reyes revealing that Garcia had worked for him multiple times since about 2015.
