Man arrested after 50,000 jewel heist from high-end Dublin store
Briefly

A robbery at a jeweler in Dublin resulted in the theft of €50,000 worth of jewelry. Gardaí responded rapidly to reports, leading to a manhunt in St Stephen's Green park after a suspect was seen fleeing. The suspect, in his 20s, was apprehended shortly after the burglary. Initial searches at night did not recover the stolen jewelry, but subsequent searches at first light succeeded in recovering the stolen items. The suspect is detained and is set to appear in court following this incident.
"On arrival, they encountered a suspect and he fled the scene on foot. He was observed entering St. Stephen's Green park and pursued by Gardaí on foot."
"Because it was night-time, a search for the stolen jewellery did not result in the stolen items being immediately recovered."
