The dismissal, effective June 5, followed a hearing that confirmed the seriousness of his behavior, which was deemed unacceptable and inappropriate by BCU Commander Brittany Clarke. She noted that such actions go against the Met's expected values and highlighted the importance of the officer who reported the incident, which made the investigation possible.
Trainee Detective Constable Max Gilliver was dismissed on June 5 after a hearing found his actions had amounted to gross misconduct.
BCU Commander Brittany Clarke stated, 'TDC Gilliver displayed behaviour that is unacceptable and completely inappropriate.'
The panel found that PC Gilliver had breached the standards of professional behaviour, specifically regarding authority, respect and courtesy, and discreditable conduct.
