Rosamund Pike's 'James Bond' sex scene with Pierce Brosnan left her 'mortified'
Briefly

Rosamund Pike candidly shared a humorous anecdote from her role as Miranda Frost in the 2002 James Bond film "Die Another Day" during her appearance on David Tennant's podcast. The actress recalled feeling "mortified" after mistakenly thinking she was waxing Pierce Brosnan's chest while filming a love scene. Fortunately, she soon realized it was actually fake fur from the rugs. Additionally, she discussed her initial audition experience, where she resisted the pressure to strip down to her underwear, showing resolve in maintaining her dignity during the casting process.
I think, 'Oh my God, I'm waxing Pierce's chest,' Pike, who played the undercover MI6 and double agent Miranda Frost in the film, recalled. 'I was so mortified. I thought, 'Oh my God, he's so brave, and I'm pulling off his chest hair with every embrace.'
My first audition was for a Bond film, and I remember them saying I was to drop my dress and appear in my underwear. I just thought, 'Actually sod that, if they're gonna see me in my underwear, they better give me the job.'
I literally thought I was waxing the poor man's chest! Luckily, I quickly realized after a couple of takes that it was not Brosnan but the fake fur of the rugs.
