Fewer than half of British people now carry a physical wallet despite 80% admitting they still own one. Many people have moved to using digital wallets on phones or smartwatches, using Apple Pay or Google Pay as default payment methods. Questions ask whether people still carry wallets and why, what individuals carry inside them, whether they prefer physical or digital wallets, and when or why they stopped using a wallet if applicable. A form invites people to share experiences; responses can be anonymous. The form is encrypted and only the Guardian has access; personal data will be deleted when no longer required. SecureDrop is suggested for true anonymity.
