Donaldson was described as a 'remorseless thug' and was recorded boasting about the stabbing shortly after. He was arrested at his home on January 11, 2024, where police found drugs with a significant street value. Gnaneswaran's family mourned the loss of their son, who was studying accounting and finance at university.
