UK's 'highest roof walk' set to open at famous London attraction next month
"A new rooftop attraction billed as the highest roof walk in the UK is set to open at an iconic London landmark next month. Visitors are invited to scale the roof of Ally Pally and enjoy panoramic views of the city when they climb The Summit at Alexandra Palace. The guided walk was developed by Wire & Sky, the company behind attractions including the Dare Skywalk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Cutty Sark rig climb, Liverpool's Anfield Abseil and, previously, Up at The O2."
"Although these structures rise higher above the ground, Alexandra Palace sits further above sea level due to its hilltop location, which gives this attraction its highest status. The hour-long walk leads climbers to the Angel of Plenty statue which stands 130 metres above the City of London, before opening out to a 360-degree view of the capital. The attraction will open next month The attraction will launch on Valentine's Day for any couples seeking to reach new heights in their relationships."
"Andy Broad, managing director of Wire & Sky said: We're thrilled to bring Wire & Sky rooftop adventures to Alexandra Palace an iconic London landmark with history, entertainment and incredible views. With Summit Ally Pally, we're offering a completely new way to experience the building and the city's skyline. Prices at the attraction start at 22 per person This will be one of London's most exciting attractions, combining heritage with adventure."
