Waltham Forest dad-of-three fell to death at Polish ski resort
Briefly

Stephen John McBride, CEO of Discover International, tragically died during a company team-building trip in Poland on October 25. He fell while skiing, resulting in severe injuries. His death was referred to the East London Coroner's Court as his body was brought back to the UK. Coroner Graeme Irvine noted there is no evidence suggesting suicide and emphasized the need to collaborate with Polish authorities to investigate further. A post-mortem in November confirmed multiple traumatic injuries as the cause of death. The inquest is provisionally scheduled with Mr McBride's family recognized as interested parties.
Mr McBride's tragic death during a company team-building skiing trip involved a fall, leading to serious injuries, but lacks evidence of intentional harm.
The coroner stated, 'I will impose upon the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) to acquire for me any details of any police investigation in Poland.'
