Anderson says the Tories are like 'rats leaving the sinking ship' to join Reform
Briefly

Lee Anderson, Reform UK's chief whip, has described the current state of the Conservative Party as 'toast' following a new YouGov poll showing Reform UK leading at 28%. He emphasizes that people are ignoring both the Labour and Conservative parties. Anderson indicates that many former Tory councillors and MPs are eager to join Reform UK, likening their departure to 'rats leaving a sinking ship.' He notes the party's significant candidate presence in recent elections and urges the public to demand change from the current system.
Let's be clear. In my opinion, the Conservative Party is toast. If I was allowed, I would show you messages I have been getting on my phone from Tory councillors, ex-Tory MPs who are wanting to make the move.
There's a few but I can't reveal the information stored within my phone. But they're rattled. The rats are leaving the sinking ship pretty sharpish.
People aren't taking any notice of the Labour Party or the Conservative Party. We want real people from the real world to step up and say, 'we've had enough of this nonsense'.
We had the most amount of candidates in all the councils and guess what? We get 10 councils, 677 councillors, two mayoral elections and one MP.
