"King Charles has ordered that his membership of the Order of the Garter, to which he was appointed in 2006, be removed. Mr Mountbatten-Windsor's appointment as a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order is also to be cancelled and annulled, records published on London Gazette show."

King Charles directed removal of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the Order of the Garter, originally appointed in 2006, and annulment of his Royal Victorian Order appointment from 2011. The cancellations were published on the London Gazette and took effect after agreements on 30 October with official removal recorded on 1 December. The 65-year-old was stripped of his HRH style and his prince title previously, and asked to leave Royal Lodge. He still holds the rank of Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy, though that rank is under review with Buckingham Palace and defence officials.
