Democracy for Sale first reported the allegations and analysed Labour Together's response to coverage that the think tank failed to declare more than 700,000 in donations between 2017 and 2020. Labour Together was fined 14,250 by the Electoral Commission in September 2021 for late reporting. APCO was reportedly paid at least 30,000 in 2023 to carry out the investigation.
